What this guide covers
- No record can mean the return has not reached the visible status stage, the information entered does not match, or the return is outside the current lookup window.
- Still processing is a broad status. It does not identify the reason by itself.
- Refund approved means the IRS has accepted the refund for issuance. Refund sent means the IRS says it released the money or check.
- Calling does not usually speed up a normal refund timeline, but a letter, identity issue, or long delay may change the next step.
How to use this thread
- Post accepted date, WMR wording, whether transcripts are available, and any visible account transcript codes.
- If WMR says refund sent, post DDD, bank product status, and whether fees were taken from the refund.
- If WMR has no record after the normal visibility window, recheck the exact refund amount and filing status from the filed return.
